This albums shows the Beastie Boys range better than any other release. It has hip hop, punk rock, and instrumental jazz. The three main styles associated w the B-Boys. This album is so easy to listen too. Just bump this ASAP...what u waiting for?

The boys grabbed their instruments on this one and brought a vintage sound to the mix. Warm, fuzzy, and distorted, the Beasties blast through everything from funk, soul, punk, rock, reggae, and hip-hop in no time flat. Half the time we can’t make out what the guys are saying, but who cares? Regardless, this album gets better and better as time passes. Now ... go check your heads.

With Paul's Boutique as a close second, I love how Check Your Head is more in your face. I can't not dance from track one on. Love love it.

IMO this is by far their best album. Every track sounds different from the last, and yet they all fit in just fine. Definitely a timeless classic. "So What'cha Want" is the first Beastie Boys song I ever heard, around eight years ago now, and it's still one of their best, though I'd have to say "Professor Booty" is now my favorite cut from this album.

From start to finish, this album does not disappoint. You could put it on the shelf, take it out, and play it years later and it will still be one of your favorite albums.
