Reviews

  • Beasties put a bookend to a fizzling career.

Everyone was sad at Adams too early departure. However, as a group, their 5 to 6 year hiatuses were all too familiar and all too old. Keeping interest in a group who puts an album out twice a decade just didn't seem worth the wait. The energy, messages, and uninventive tracks here really feel burnt out and lazy and Adrocks high pitched rants are replaced almost exclusively with boring, throaty tedium. Besides the "make some noise" track which generates some laughs and nostalgia there is nothing outstanding or noteworthy that will be archived in anyones memory. Mixed Beastie songs myself, but this will go under the least favorites pile even beneath Pauls Boutique.
