Phil Anselmo LOVES these guys and I wonder what Corey Taylor has to say about them.

Portal when broken down is just straight forward death metal with a unique vocal style and guitar playing but still remains more to death metal then experimentation on this album. The ambience covering over the instruments to me is more annoying then anything buried under that sound is passable death metal I would suggest listening to a song first to see if you'll mind the ambience.

I like it... But its gonna take more than one listen to really appreciate this album

Awesome vocals and instrumentals and to answer the question below, you don't have to buy a song or album to review it which is a bit silly :/

1st off every songs sounds the same but that's not the worst part! U barley hear any scream that's any good and I love heavy metal but this is just crap it's like a group of monkey's got a hold of a few guitars and just play the same thing over and over again the only thing good about this is the drums that's it idk how this drummer stays with this band. Worst album ever!!

All i hear is chugchugchugchugchugchug ugggggh. At least in some deathcore you can actually hear every instrument. Sorry, this aint cuttin' it.

I got this today and listened a few times at work and through headphones at home. You def need headphones to hear everything. I love it.
