  • Verdant Meditation

This album is one of the great meditation recordings ever. Nakai recorded this over twenty years ago, but it still delivers its titular promise in every tract. Through his flute one feels the Earth Breath.
  • Enlightening

I bought this album the first time back in the early 90s. R. Carlos Nakai had come to Duke for a live performance. I had never really heard native american music before, certainly not flute music. There were three children sitting in front of me aged about 4-9 and they were rambunctious. Within moments of Nakai starting to play the kids settled down and did not move for the entire concert. I myself felt enlightened, transformed and, honestly, as if I were in a trance. I was so relaxed tears washed down my face--but I was not weeping. I bought this album at the concert...as well as Canyon Trilogy. Some of the best writing, creativity, and relxation music around.
  • Deeply Spiritual Music

I spent many mornings listening to this music while studying in college. The peaceful and deeply spiritual melodies that R. Carlos Nakai plays out on his eagle-bone flute are at once moving and calming. This music is best taken with a hot cup and a sunrise.
