Diamond and Pearls as well as Chesapeake Lane absolutely stand out to me on this album as lyrical and musical masterpieces. Many kudos!!!!

A quite fantastic album. An advance from his first, which is saying something 'cos his first was excellent. It swaggers and shimmers, a beautiful sweep.Have a listen to the almost classic beauty of 'innocent sinner.' But it's all here: rousing choruses, moving lyrics, out of this world instrumentation, doomed depression, uplifting swells. Try it.
  • give it a shot if you like...

This is a real engaging listening experience, landing somewhere in between AA Bondy, JBM, and James Vincent McMorrow. That is if making a record is akin to lawndarts.

Feel like I'm an early listener to a legend in the making. Loved the first album, loved the one time I've seen him live so far, but this album is a leap ahead for Dylan. I can't wait to watch his career unfold.
