I had a wonderful conversation with Michael Allen last week. We spoke about the origins of Coyote Oldman, and about what he went through during the recording of Tear of the Moon. He said, "All I was thinking about was trying to keep my truck running so that I could make it to and from the studio; that and my baby girls. Making this album was very healing for me." I have listened to Coyote Oldman ever since I was a young boy, and this album is one of their best. It really brings together the ethereal and whispering sounds of pan pipes, while restoring order to a seemingly disordered musical landscape. I have yet to find an album such as this with an equal amount of sound presence, wonderfully crafted melodies, and cosmic -sounding organic vibrations that awaken the spirit and stir the soul.

I orginally purchased the CD and enjoy looking at the beautiful wood flutes pictured. All different styles are featured on this album. The songs are a beautful blend of rich tones and colorful sounds.
