I'm saying right here, 80's Hip-Hop is the real Hip-Hop. I don't know what the music now, because it is sure as far from rap. I'm 18 in 2012 seriously and I perfer this over the stuff, the kids in my generation say is rap.

These are the "real" versions of White Lines, The Message, Survival and all the others. All the other versions on iTunes are knock off artists that will make you mad if you spent money downloading that crap. To the "children" who rated this album one star and/or hated it. Please learn hip hop history before you comment. Goggle it or something to broaden your understanding of the "origins" of rap. We can tell you've never seen a record, never used a pay phone and could not imagine life without microwaves !!

This is the first rap group to ever put a message into one of their songs. The message is great and so is the rest of the album. They have an old school sound but it is still an album for the ages. The onlys song i didnt like on the whole album was scorpio because it was a wierd electronic techno type of thing. But you should definately buy this album. Songs that sound like they would be inappropriate like white lines are actually songs with great messages. On the short version of white lines instead of saying (Long Version) it says (Dont Do It) They started consious rap and left legacy that I hope wont be soon forgotten. And to the guy that didnt like it because it was from the 80's any rap group you have ever listened to was directly influenced buy this group, Run DMC, and many other old school bands. So why dont you actually listen to the album before you decide to not like it stupid!
