Agnostic Hymns & Stoner Fables

Nothing wrong with going for a dissonant album. It can be real cool (many fine examples could be cited). But this record is a fairly tedious listen. It needs some rocking tunes. Otherwise, it just makes the listener want to get high. But maybe that is the only point?

Not too many songwriters take on the suffering pathos of the nation....in such an amusing way. Make a copy for all your unemployed friends!

This is truly great and I don't use that word very often when describing records. A cross between The Rolling Stones and Bob Dylan conveyed in a most original way. I love this .. It rocks .. and recommend this record highly.

.... Snider album is still better than most other albums. Every once in awhile, Todd has 10 songs so he puts out a record. Im not complaining because the more new music the better. But it leaves us with albums like "peace queer" and and "agnostic hyms". Love it cause i dig the music and the vibe, however these albums are not on par with "excitement plan" and "devil you know." It seems like "PQ" and "AH&SF" have a slightly more serious tone and a little less cheek. If your a fan of todd sniders (and you should be) then get the album! Stand outs for me are Brenda, Precious Little Miracles, and The Very Last Time. For the price id say its def worth it! but ill go back to patiently awaitng todds next "big budget" album.

Now, that right there is an album. Todd Snider is a genius and one of the greatest storytellers/songwriters of this generation. Need more proof? Listen carefully. . .

Great album. Todd deserves a lot of money, compliments, and publicity for this one. Can't wait for him to come up with 10 more songs so I can hear another album.

I don't even know how I got to his work but I'm glad I did. One of those type of albums you hear and immediately fall in love with. On my way to Cali for spring break and he's playing Santa Cruz March 22nd 2012 7 PM. I can't wait.
