Best running mix I've ran to yet. Long run today was 20, need more just like it.

I bought this for a cardio kickboxing class. There were gaps between songs and the fade in/out from one song to the next was way off!
  • If you want the original artists then buy the original artists!

This is workout music...it is usually not the original artists. Just think how expensive the songs would be if a company had to pay the rights to use the original artist's recordings. Besides, most artists are under contracts that don't allow them to reproduce their songs for other labels. The purpose of this music is to provide songs to get you up and moving. This compilation does that. The artists involved are providing their interpretations of the songs. Their names are listed right next to each song so its not like there is any deceit intended. If you bought it thinking you were getting something else, then don't blame Sparkpeople for the fact that you did not read the information correctly. Judge the music on its merits, not your own misconceptions.

I would have to disagree with other reviewers. I did not expect it to be from the original artists, seeing that most workout music compilations are usually not! I love SparkPeople's selection of songs. I get super pumped when I get to "Super Bass" because it means that I have successfully achieved my goal of working out for an hour, rather enjoyably!

I teach step classes that require continuous blended music. SparkPeople seems to be that, but I am hesitant to purchase it because I do not know the Beats Per Minute, BPM's. I need them to be continuous at around 130-132 BPM. This album doesn't mention it, so I can't buy it. sorry!

Excited to begin working out for a healthier me this year, I forgot to check to "reviews" on this album before I purchased. I immediately realized I dun goofed before the first song completely downloaded. Man I wish I could have cancelled. NOT THE REAL SONG ARTISTS!!!!!! = Lame and this should have been DISCLOSED!!!! What a rip off!

I was really excited to see 12 hits from 2011 on one album for $7.99. Don't waste your money. These are not the original artists. They are not even good imitators. I want my $7.99 back. I expect better from Sparkpeople!
