This is a re-recording by Bonnie. A much older Bonnie.

Not the Jim Steinman produced versions. These are cheesy, K-tel re-workings. Terrible, terrible, terrible bait and switch. ITunes should have a HUGE label warning purchasers about this.

BEWARE: This IS Bonnie Tyler This IS the song Total Eclipse of the Heart So there's no deception or lying going on here. I'm not accusing anyone of anything. However, this is most definitely NOT The Bonnie Tyler, Total Eclipse of the Heart which was a huge hit in the 80's, (video, single, album etc.). This is some kind of re-recording of the song BY the original artist herself, with a milktoast background vocal ("turn around bright eyes"), thin instrumentation, and Bonnies voice more rough than it was when she was a brief superstar. There are notes which aren't hit. Missing crescendos, etc. All manner of soul, feeling and inspiration are lacking from this recording leaving it a flat, dead, gray toned rendering that you might hear in a karaoke bar down the street. Just my 2 cents. I feel sincerely ripped off. I don't see a warning that this is a different version. I've brought it to the attention of iTunes. You're mileage may vary. You may even like it, but I thought at least somebody should point this out.
