This album is simply outstanding. I liked his first album, but this one really hit me. The depth of his voice, the style of his singing, and his acoustic sound is really powerful, and reminds me of Chris Cornell a bit, only 1) as someone pointed out, Fink is more intimate, closer, and 2) what I personally really like, is that there is something else that reminds me he was certainly a DJ before... His rhythms, his transitions, and the movement in the songs are tight. I'm sure there is a way to put this that is more musically accurate, but hopefully you know what I mean- just listen to little blue mailbox in it's entirety, and make it good. I really love those songs. Much more interesting to me than an acoustic alt guy doing ballads (a la Jose Gonzales - who isn't bad, just to me, less original than Fink).
