The remixes were the only ones released due to a copyright issue, the beats are not originally theirs and therefore had to be remixed so they could sell the songs

Yo, this album really is amazing. I love Macklemore and I have all his music. I just wish they would sell the VS EP on iTunes too, instead of just VS Redux. Personally, I like all of the original songs more than their remixes so it would be nice to be able to get those too. But either way, this is still a great album
