Reviews

  • A true classic... Miles was never beholden to anyone's expectations

This was such a groundbreaking record and still sounds fresh when heard today. Jazz today definitely needs more genre bending musicians who are willing to cross lines while remaining musically and conceptually advanced. If you like B***** Brew you guys should check out other great players like Christian Scott, Jason Moran, and David Ecker.
  • Great album, and Itunes...

You do realize the album's title is perfectly readable on the album artwork, right? Doh!
  • Excellent album

We listened to this CD in my jazz course for my university's music class. I really liked it, as I was not familiar with Miles or jazz before taking this course. Buy it! It beats the socks off anything on the top 40 radio or MTV these days! Truly a classic!

You put asterisks instead of the real name of this classic jazz album, yet you allow the filthiest garbage to be spewed during samples from today's so-called artists. Pathetic.
  • iTunes is lame!

Really? You can't say the name of an album, a classic album-oh that's right, we're living in the world of Jonas Brothers & American Idol. "I would rather be a musician than a rock star"-George Harrison

What came out of this cauldron, in all directions, was the most amazing group of projects by Chick Corea, Herbie Hancock, Joe Zawinul, Wayne Shorter, John McLaughlin, Bob James, and more. Some didn't call it "jazz" and maybe it wasn't to them. But for the next generation of musicians looking to expand on improvisation and composition, this was IT. **Note** It's pretty funny that iTunes uses asterisks in the title but right above it the full name is spelled out in the LP title and on the album artwork! LOL
  • that's quite pathetic

Another iTunes unnecessary censorship. As others said before if you are selling it, name it! This is a iconic jazz album and it has influenced all kind of musicians.

What's with the asterisks? Really, this is one of the best jazz albums of all time. If you're going to sell it, name it.
  • Somewhat unnecessary

The alternate takes don't do much for me, but this is top 3 material right here.

If you are going to sell it, say the name. This is just childish.
