What R&B 2010 should sound like

This is what true R&B ought to sound like, ought to feel like. His vocals float over a simple beat that you can groove to or listen to. You can hear the pain in his voice, and it doesn't sound forced or phoney. And thank you, no overplayed vocoder nonsense. I haven't heard anything like this so real from someone so young in a long time. (Janelle Monae, is a definite exception, but she's a different vibe.)
I hope this becomes a classic.
No disrespect to Mr. Cole, but I think that the song would have been stronger without the rap. I know they are telling a story, but more often than not, less is more.
Miguel sings this song with a sadness and regret that is exquisite.
