This EP is a small sample of songs from Mike Posner's first two mixtapes. Like the mixtapes themselves, these songs were more enjoyable to me years ago then they are now. These songs are alright for what they are, but the remakes on his mixtapes don't stick with me now as much. My favorite songs off this EP are probably "Cooler Than Me" (the original version) and "Red Button".

i love the sound of the original version of "cooler than me"!!! i really like how it puts the emphasis on the vocals with light music; which is a welcome change from the "one hit wonder" disney channel stars and their terrible singing drowned out by EXTREMELY LOUD AND INCREDIBLY ANNOYING background music. the term "background" is used quite loosely...

Just saw him live yesterday on the UW campus, and I have got to say I was really impressed. Not only does his voice sound EXACTLY as it does on the tracks, but I really enjoyed how involved he gets with the crowd and how much energy he displays on stage. Really fun to watch and great live sound. If buying his stuff is how I can support him, well consider it done!
