Baaba Maal, Manu Chao, Spirojazz, Youssou N'Dour, Cerati, King Sunny Ade are my favorites. This album was a breakout for Baaba Maal.
  • Baaba is a rare gift to humanity and this is one of his best CDs.

The world's very best musician-writer-composers: The Beatles, U2, Radiohead, Faithless, Youssou N'Dour and... Baaba Maal. From the erie opener to the beyond-words-beauty of the Senegal-drenched spiritual "Lam-Lam" and all the soul, Afro-pop and African themes in-between, this is stellar! If you like any of the above and/or Peter Gabriel, Afro Celts -heck, ANY great music, you have to own this!!!
  • it was cool sounding.
