Reviews

  • The best album Primus never made

Groovy, offbeat, and classic. This album is an important transition from Clutch’s early sound into the more jazzy/funky stuff they did later on. Not my favorite album by them but a great one nonetheless.

This is arguably their best album in my opinion. Every track has that fat heavy groove that we all know and love, and their lyrics about civil war fought on elephant back and soapmakers are all just interesting and fun!

Not a bad album, but by the high standard the band has set this one is a little flat.

Dogof war is right. Buy this now. I have seen them live many tomes here in Charlotte NC, in Boston, and St. Pete. Best rock show ever... See them, buy them, and listen all tbd time.

What a gem. This album has a stone groove to it. The album flows from start to finish. Muchas Veces is an underrated classic, and The Soapmakers is an erie tale of creepy, inbred mountain folk. My personal favorite is Dragonfly. This album rocks. During live shows, I have seen Clutch start a show with Ship of Gold or Elephant Riders. The crowds went absolutely bezerk. This album is a must have. If you get a chance, go see Clutch live. They only play like 300 shows a year, except in South Carolina.

ELEPHANT RIDERS ROCKS!!!!! I agree with Tailesien! I have this actual CD and mine has "05". My friend has a copy and it has "David Rose". The only one I am missing is "Gifted and Talented". The Japanese version of the CD has ALL THREE!!! but if you can find a copy it is usually around $200.00 and $0.99 SOUNDS A LOT BETTER I-TUNES!!!! COME ON! MAKE IT HAPPEN!!!!!
  • Excellent album, just wish it had all of the bonus tracks

It should be noted that on the CD version of this album the final track "The Dragonfly" can have one of three different secret songs at the end: "David Rose"; "Gifted and Talented"; "05". The version you'll get when you buy it from iTunes has "05" on it. Apple, if you can hear a fan's fervent wish, please find a way to add the other two songs (perhaps by shortening track 10 and adding tracks 11, 12, and 13)
