This album is the pinnacle of the genre. Beyond Ms. Baker's peerless talent, the instrumental musianship is flawless and mesmerizing. Every track is a unique piece of art.

I know folks will say "Rapture" is her best, but listen to this album from beginning to end a few times, and you will find yourself undulating to every rhythmic rise and fall of her flowing voice. "Talk To Me" and "Fairy Tales" are perhaps her best up-tempo songs ever. "Perfect Love Affair" up and sweeps you away and sets you up for what's to come. "Whatever It Takes" is the closest any artist can get to a true slow groove. "Soul Inspiration" is a terrific song that makes you smile, especially if you are a man. "Lonely" is light and jazzy, and reminds you that her band is tight! "No One To Blame" shows that Ms. Baker has impeccable tempo and timing. "More Than You Know" showcases her knack for hitting a low note, then pulling it mid-range so deftly…it's seems effortless. Finally, "Love You To The Letter" - my favorite! It is an amazing song. Ms. Baker caresses each note, word, and phrase with playfulness, immense warmth and feeling, it makes my heart melt! "Compositions" is her best and most charming album, and that is saying a lot!
