I've heard and own almost all of the 25 Live Trax to date and this ranks right up there on my list of best LTs. Is it the very best? That I believe is a matter of preference but this is def one of the great LTs. Crush is stellar with a phenomenal Roi and Tim duel of sax vs electric as they battle it out towards the end of the song and as a previous reviewer stated earlier, you can search far and wide but won't find a better version of Crush. Two Step and YMDT are also highlights. The whole album rocks and if you're a Dave fan you'll love this gem of a show. I prefer to purchase my music on ITunes as it secures my purchase for life pretty much and with that said the three shows I would love to see pop up on here are LT 21 and LT 15. Or you guys could just put the rest of them on here and I'd be fine with that too!!!

Whoever wrote the review for this album must not be a true DMB fan. This is the ultimate live album if you have a long drive ahead of you and just want to listen to something without having to switch tracks a lot. From the first song (Two Step) introduction all the way to the last treble hit in "Thank You," this album sends you spinning almost into a dream. It brings you to the concert, just like if you are sitting in the audience. After "Hey hey, my my" you almost have to take a deep breath it's so real. So if your a DMB fan, get in your car, set the cruise and turn it up! Because LIVE TRAX 13 will blow your mind. Keep on rockin' Dave Matthews Band!

Whoever wrote that review either A. Suffers from acute insane tendancies while reviewing music, or B. Just plain has no knowlege regarding good music. I love this album, and contrary to what he says about it, this album is a GREAT way to get into DMB if you are a newcomer. The first ever concert at the new Busch Stadium in St. Louis, MO has quickly become one of my favorite DMB live albums. This album covers all the traditional DMB live staples, with one notable exeption in that there is no All Along The Watchtower, but other than that, all the regulars are here. Among them, Two Step, one of their most well-known and most often-performed songs in their repitoire, is unbeatable. I own 5 different versions of this song, from 5 different concerts, and this particular version has quickly become my favorite. In addition to the typical Two Step, Don't Drink The Water, Ants Marching, Grey Street, etc., there are also some of the more uncommon DMB tunes present as well. One such song is Water Into Wine, which, prior to this concert, hadn't been played at a DMB concert for 4,244 days. That means between June 7th, 2008 and October 24th, 1996, this song was NEVER PLAYED, yet it's here for the world to hear. Other rarities include Recently (770 days since it was previously played by DMB) and Pay For What You Get (707 days). There are no low spots on this album as far as I can see, just high points and higher points, kind of like comparing Mt. Everest to K2. Do yourself a favor, and BUY THIS ALBUM!!!
  • Probably the best Grey Street out there

This is another solid DMB album, Crush, you might die trying, ants marching are great. The best on the album is the grey street he gives you, Amazing vocals on the song and it has a nasty saxaphone solo with a huge tight finish. Get the grey street
  • One to get you hooked.

Seven years ago I picked up a DMB cd and played it because i had heard of DMB but didn't know any of their music, just their name. That cd was Live at Folsom Field and it only took one playing of it to get me hooked. I have been hooked near religiously ever since. There is no doubt that this band is at their best live and this Volume from the LiveTrax series is proof. Of the 15 LiveTrax volumes to date, LT13 is one of my favorites. The addition of Tim Reynolds on stage adds another level of energy to the live recordings that I feel is not always there in previous releases. LT13 covers a widerange of songs for fans. Just about everything is here from old favorites like "Tripping Billies", "Recently", and "One Sweet World" to crowd pleasers like "Ants Marching", "Crash into Me", and "Grey Street" as well as deep cuts like "Two Step" and "Don't Drink the Water". The band even has some fun throwing in high energy covers of "Hey Hey, My My" and "Thank You". They dont stop there either. "Cornbread" and "Louisiana Bayou" are sure to get your feet tapping if not your entire self up out of your seat. To assure the purchase of the whole album, the best two tracks here are only available with the purchase of the entire thing. "You Might Die Trying" and "Crush" display the bands ability to make a mellow song into a high energy jam fest as the genius of both Tim Reynolds and the late LeRoi Moore are at there best in "Crush" as the two musicians battle it out in an epic battle/duet of the sax and guitar. Moore takes the lead and Reynolds follows up as the two go back and forth for 3 minutes until the they come together to allow drummer Carter Beauford finish with an end that will be sure to make your jaw drop and your ears wanna come back for more. If your a big DMB fan then you proably already have this volume. If you are how I was 7 years ago, heard the name but not the music, then caution cause this one might cause you to never look back and leave you looking and craving for more and let me tell you, there is a lot more where this came from. If you like live music, you'll love this album. Simply stated, BUY IT. You won't have any regrets.

I am glad I bought tickets to this concert 3 hours before the show! I have been a fan for years, but had never seen DMB live, and this was the show to go to! One of LeRoi's last and such a fun "jam" session! I am so excited they made an album out of it!
  • I TOTALLY RECOMMEND
