    Hovhaness has composed some very strange things, but somehow it works for me. I might be a bit biased, though, since I'm a trumpet player and therefore am a sucker for "Prayer of St. Gregory." As a student, however, I find this album to be great study music. Five words: orchestral music plus whale song. You can't get much more relaxing than that.
