Ok I've read some of the reviews. But honestly I have to say that I'm empressed that Aunt Dolly can do pop :) i know its not the typical tunes you like to hear from her but cook a romantic candle light dinner for 2, and play this cd, hold each other tightly and know in your mind that you 2 "know each other by heart." I like the pic too, who knew @Dolly_Parton could pose steamy :) so with that being said, i love the cd, never know that someone else may end up re-recording the songs, and steaming up the tunes. Fat chance that ill hear from this chick but @MileyCyrus whats your opinion on the cd?

Okay, while not her best work, Rainbow still has some great songs. The River Unbroken is a strong beginning with a great beat and great vocals. I know you by heart is a bit of a mistake. Perhaps with a different Duet partner it could have been good. Dump the dude is a bit of a...a...a trainwreck. It's fun but not up to Dolly's standards. Red Hot screaming love is okay but a bit over-worked. She still sounds great. Make love work is awesome and beautifully done. Everyday Hero is another great addition to the CD. Two Lovers is catchy but a bit odd. Could I have you autograph is a bit too young and corny for Dolly's talent. Savin' it for you is promising with a great beat. More than I can say is a strong, great finish. So, 5 stars for vocals, 3 stars for song choice, 5 stars for the effort and attempt to try something different. 4 stars for the arrangement and 5 stars for the CD Cover. She looks beautiful. She also gets a bonus star for just being Dolly. 4.6 stars rounded up makes for 5 stars. It wouldn't be the first Dolly cd i'd buy but it's defineately one that I'd own.

I had to download this album just for the amazing cover photo and the best song title ever, "Dump the Dude". Not her best work for sure...but it does transport you back to the 80's in sort of a good way. If you this album isn't your speed, then back-it-up and download Heartbreaker...you will fall in love all over again.

oh man, i dont see how you dont like this album. it was the first thing i ever heard where i knew it was dolly lol. but most everyone i know that kinda likes her at least has loved this album. im glad to see it on here

I really wanted to like this album. I really did. I'm a fan of Dolly but this album is pretty bad. I tried to like it but she was trying to hard to conform to the 80's sound, that was popular at the time, and it just didn't work for her. Beware!
