This is the first album that I bought as a whole. The whole thing is a masterpiece. Every song is an epic of a track and I listen to each one once per day. It's like medicine now. I cannot believe Trivium isn't more popular than Disturbed by this time with this album, all Disturbed had was Ou Ah Ah Ah Ah but Trivium has a whole album.
  • Sounds Like a metalcore Metallica = Win

In quite a few of the songs, Matt sounds A LOT like James Hetfield. His varied use of roars, growls, screams and singing shows some of the talent that Trivium has to show. The songs sound like a modern twist put on some 80s thrash and power metal but made much more aggressive. I love this album. I'd recommend to anyone who likes melodic metalcore music or Metallica.

Shogun is not perfect, but it is their most technical and ambitious work to date, and probably their best. Here are my favorites: 1.Kirisute Gomen 2.Down from the Sky 3.Insurrection 4.Throes of Perdition 5.Shogun

This album is perfect, classic Trivium. In my opinion, "The Calamity" is by FAR the best song on here. The whole record is incredible.

What a great album. Don't listen to the negative reviews those clowns don't know metal. Every song is amazing. Shogun is my favorite especially after the 7:43 mark.

This album amazed me from start to finish. Trivium writes some of the best riffs out there, and that shows on Torn Between Scylla And Charybdis, the best song on the album. A definite must buy.
