College is one of my favorite bands! Their music is so unique, addictive, hypnotic, and absolutely fun to dance to! Teenage Color is one of my favorite songs! It never gets old no matter how much I listen to it.

College's soundscapes are indescribable yet familiar all at once... it evokes a sense of belonging to a bygone era... like being transported into an 8bit world with synchronized autobots dancing in sequence with you at the helm leading a merry digitized parade. I was deeply moved by the sound and mental imagery being played in my mind's eye whenever I play their songs... pure bliss.

Whew! This is how you stay young. You listen to music like this and you'll never die. The 80's live on.

Warm dark synths, minimal beats and distant memories...take the kick away and bring it back.

From the corners of Nantes, France this album hits like a ton of bricks--in the simplest and gentlest way. Imagine kissing your highschool sweetheart in the rain in the hazy neon city from "Blade Runner," with a bit of Xanax thrown in the mix. In a tired blogosphere that would have you believe that the only worthwhile electronica is the latest Ed Banger song to be remixed by an Ed Banger artist featuring an appearance by an Ed Banger artist, France's VALERIE collective is godsend and a breath of fresh air! Driven by genuine LOVE and nostalgia for the 1980's-- brilliant toys, John Hughes movies, neon colors, the mysterious promises of future technology, and the endearingly awkward melding of innocence and rampant commercialism--College and fellow VALERIE artists perfectly freeze, catch and savor the "je ne sais quois" of that curious era. Anthemic, beautifully produced, the Teenage Color EP skirts the eardrums with a signature sound that is richly layered and life affirming, yet also stark; maintaining a sultry organic feel with the slightest tinge of melancholy for a missing love. PERFECT for late night driving, fans of M83 should especially love this gem. Put on your headphones and allow yourself to melt into College's beautiful dissociative haze. I can not reccomend an album more highly.

This is what the future promised us. And College is delivering it. Teenage color transcends 80's synth to create an entirely new sound for your post modern world. Teenage color possibly the best soundtrack for your life.

This is a good taste of what could be a strong showing from College. It's not dance but it does add a good ambient background. I am left with the feeling that it's only experimental and needs something more. It's worth checking out. I won't compare it to other groups but you will her similarities in it's "airy" feel. It's very chill and low key.
