How many people don;t like robin williams? such an amazing actor. Not only is his amazing in every movie I have seen him and htis also includes death to smoochie... He names his daughter after the legend of zelda "zelda williams" I gotta support that. PLus this movie is my childhood and many songs bring back memories. 4/5 stars
  • "End Titles"? Um, not exactly.

I like the music of the end titles so much. For that reason, I really resent buying a track and finding it to be so different in the both the beginning and end of piece from the actual film end titles. You'd never know from playing the sample which is taken from the middle...that both the beginning and ending of this particular track are cluttered with harsh, disonant music never heard in the closing titles. And it's actually shorter. I can only assume that the actual end titles are broken up and buried in other tracks. What a drag.
  • One of the Best Scores in the World

This is one of those soundtracks I just can't get enough of. I usually listen to scores in order and this is one of those scores that after the last song ends I end up playing the whole CD over again! It not only has awesome horror and adventure music but also very beautiful music as well. Like in the scene where Sarah is thanking Alan for saving her from the crocodile after the Monsoon, the scene where Alan and Sarah find themselves kids again, and the scene where Alan apologizes to his father at the end. This score has great variety and is a must buy. I'll recommend it to anyone.
  • Finally...some rare scores starting to surface!

I am so glad that I have been able to find so many of my favorite movie scores on iTunes. Jumanji is no exception. James Horner is one of the greatest composers - right up there with John Williams, Hans Zimmer, Jerry Goldsmith, & Danny Elfman (just to name a few). And the movie is terrific! Wonderful to watch with the family and full of lasting memories. If you like this, check out The Spiderwick Chronicles and Krull (which is not available yet on iTunes at the writing of this review).

Everytime i hear a James Horner score, i hear so many similarities to his Titanic score that I can't help thinking about it. This is not a bad thing. Some artists are criticised for the sameness that most of their works have. Horner has mastered being able to present the same amazing thing in a different format each time. Everytime i hear a Horner score, I LOVE IT.
