This 2005 CD was given 3-stars by one source & 2 by another. But if you're a fan, don't take their views as gospel. The songwriting is terrific as usual; I'm never offended by the mix of politics in their music; I admire it. Their harmonies are excellent. Certainly as good as we've ever heard them. Stills' guitar-playing: top-notch as usual. It has a rock feel we'd all but forgotten during that era. I had almost forgotten I'd purchased this months ago and put all the CSN CDS on rotation this evening. I was genuinely surprised by how good this is: song after song. To those who are annoyed by the Latin-tinged beats which appear: you must have forgotten Stills' mother was Cuban. Their cover of The Beatles' "My Life," given their abilities to harmonize, is beautiful and worthy of download alone. I'm glad I bought it. I find their lyrics as modern and vital as ever.

I think After The Storm by CSN is another Classic album from them !!! The album starts out with a great Love song Only Waiting For You and you have the 3 social commentary songs: Won't Go Away, Street To Lean On & Bad Boyz !!! CSN has been my favorite group since their first album came out in 1969.
  • The album where CSN redeems themselves

After the mid-seventies, releases by the members of Crosby, Stills and Nash were hit and miss. "Daylight Again" and "American Dream" had their moments, but there were a lot of real clunkers mixed in. Let's pretend that "Live it Up" never happened. Here, however, CSN are back the way they are meant to be. There are great harmonies and Graham Nash busts out some of his best work with "Unequal Love" and "After the Storm." "Camera" puts David Crosby back on his feet and reminds us why we love them. Stills' "Bad Boyz" is kind of hokey, but it is forgivable. The cover of the Beatles' "In My Life" has some nice harmonies. Essentially, if you're a fan of CSN, you should get this album.
  • There is nothing Latin About this Album

There is one track with a heavy Latin flava but you can heard CSN hamornazing voices throughtout the entire cut. Do not allow one commemt to persuade you from loving this album. And as a long time CSN and Young fan, this ain't a bad album
  • Crosby Stills Nash with a latino twist???

I am a CSN fan and i think that this album completly goes against their tone and style of music. The bongos are weird sounding with the harmony of the voices. The voices are good, but the instruments are a big dissapointment.

The CSN Logo on this album cover was designed by actor Phil Hartman.

I agree. After The Storm has some very good gems. Don't overlook them. Check out: Find A Dream, Camera (my favorite), Till It Shines, In My Life, & Panama. Very good album. It's something good and nice to listen to from start to finish.

Very underated CSN album because of its chart position. But this album is a solid effort from start to finish. Check it out.
