One of the best Journey recording ever. If you missed it's release, you've been missing out, you needen't have been missing Journey. Well produced, well written, and well played songs. Most of us miss Steve Perry. Steve Augeri is a good singer and his voice is melodic (and close enough to Perry's you may have thought it was him anyway). This is a keeper, and these songs fill many of my playlists. A good one from start to finish.

I am a longtime Journey fan. They are my favorite band, and yes, Steve perry was they're best singer. That doesn't mean this album is bad! Steve Augeri is a better vocalist than people think. This is a great album. Signs of life is one of my favorite songs of all time
  • Love It!!!

This album is ok. It is like Night Ranger or some band that an artist makes after he leaves the successful band he was in? Does that make sense? Anyhow there is one thing that this album is not and that is "Journey". You can say whatever you want about Steve Perry but the truth is that he was incredible. He was someone that will never be duplicated anywhere! Not just in Journey. Anywhere on the planet or any other planet for that matter. That voice is the single most awesome singing voice to ever grace the stage. Best of the best. That includes Freddie Mercury, Robert Plant, Elton John, Roger Daltrey, Paul Rodgers etc etc etc! Yeah you heard me right.................Sorry but Steve Perry, Neal Schon and Jonathan Cain who were Journey will never be duplicated ever again. Oh and the first band was nothing next to the "Real Journey".

With the departure of Steve Perry in 1998, Journey decided to continue without him. So in comes Steve Augeri who is a very good singer and fills in Perry's spot very nicely. Steve Smith is also out and Deen Castronovo takes the drummer's seat. On "Arrival", the band blends their 80s sound and style with a more modern rock vibe that's even more mature than "Trial By Fire". While the album isn't mediocre, it's not very impressive. There are moments here that can sound mellow and bland, but Augeri's voice does good justice. Higher Place - 10/10 All the Way - 9.5/10 Signs of Life - 9.5/10 All the Things - 8/10 Loved By You - 8.5/10 Livin' to Do - 8.5/10 World Gone Wild - 9/10 I Got a Reason - 9.5/10 With Your Love - 9/10 Lifetime of Dreams - 9/10 Live and Breathe - 8/10 Nothin' Comes Close - 9/10 To Be Alive Again - 9/10 Kiss Me Softly - 8.5/10 We Will Meet Again - 8.5/10 Overall, "Arrival" is a good album. It should be recommended for any Journey fan.

It's not the Best Journey album but to me it only has one 5 star song and it's "Higher Place" and Journry did aright with this singer but out of all 6 singers Journry had STEVE PERRY WAS THE BEST AND THE ONLY TRUE SINGER OF JOURNEY BACK IN 1977 JOURNEY FOUND STEVE PERRY and I'm only 14 years old and I LOVE STEVE PERRY'S VOICE AND THAT'S Y STEVE IS KNOWN AS "THE VOICE"

To me this is one of the best Journey albums, the first with Steve Augeri replacing Perry on vocals, highlighted by this tremendous power ballad "Kiss Me Softly". Once again, Neal Schon shows his core value on Journey with his guitar skills performing an amazing solo on "World Gone Wild". Other relevant tunes would be "Higher Place", "Signs Of Life", "Loved By You", "Livin' To Do", "I Got A Reason", "Live and Breathe", "Nothin' Comes Close", "To Be Alive Again" and "We Will Meet Again".
