  • If I only had one Christmas album, this would be it

I first bought this album the year it was originally released. Since then I've purchased it as a cassette (twice), on CD, and on iTunes just because it's the ultimate Christmas album for background music during parties, dinners, at work, in the car. The vocals and arrangements don't go out of style. For me, this is the very best 'sit by the tree with a martini' album.

I've had this album for years and absolutely love it. This has always been a must at my Christmas parties. You won't regret buying this album. If you like Christmas and manhatten transfer, you'll love this album.

You will not find a more exquisite Christmas album anywhere. The harmonies and Johnny Mandel's arrangements are perfect. Not almost perfect..... perfect! This is music at its finest. Get a copy. It's worth its weight in gold!

One of the best Christmas CD's out there! It's something you can put the decorations up to, or relax by the fireplace to. I had been looking for this album in my house for a while and just found it again! Can't wait to play it come Christmas time!

I have to say, this CD is one of my favorites. Some songs such as "Snowfall" are really relaxing. And songs like "Santa Claus Is Coming to Town / Santa Man (Medley)" and "Happy Holiday / The Holiday Season (Medley)" bring an upbeat, Jazz-like version. The whole album is worth buying, trust me. You won't regret buying this CD!
  • A Classic

This cd was released in 1992 and is the second and last studio album the Transfer cut for Sony. The vocals and Johnny Mandel arrangments shine. The arrangements aren't the high stepping tempos we've come to expect from the Transfer, not to say that style isn't at all present, tracks 3&7 are hard swingers. "The Christmas Song" is the second best rendition next to Nat King Cole's definitive 1961 reading and "It Came Upon A Midnight Clear" is chill inducing. Out of print for many years, I'm glad this classic is available, the closing track, a cover of the Beatle's "Goodnight," betrays the vintage of this cd due to the toys mentioned in the fade out by the children of the M.T. members.
