I listened to Sound of Madness and Threat to Survival and fell in love with this band, and then Sound this album and I haven’t heard a song I don’t like from them, 45 is heavy but utterly amazing.

12 years later, this album aged well. I had the deluxe version on hard copy. The highlight songs are:
-Fly from the inside
-Left out
-Crying out
-45 (staring down...)
Fly from the inside is my favourite off this record, it's basically my get-up-and-go song. Left out sounds a lot like Fuel's Won't back down, and well, I guess Better version's okay. Not bad for a first record!! Fans of Fuel, POM, and early NickelBack would've gotten into this band.
Oh, & my favourite Shi song of all time is The crow & the butterfly (dandelions lost in the summer sky!!)

I love this album, especially because of Simple Man, 45, Burning Bright, and my personal favorite song ever, Stranger Inside; Even though not everyone care for Stranger Inside, it turned out to be my number 1 favorite song. This album and Sound of Madness are must buy's, but you should check out all the albums as well.

This is by far Shinedown's best album yet. If you're new to Shinedown and you're on the fence between this, Sound of Madness, Us and Them or Amaryllis, get this one. You will not be let down.

I actually like this type of music. I didn't think I would be the kind of person to like rock but everywhere I turn I'm finding another rock band that sounds amazing. If any of you haven't heard of 10 years then look them up. They are Amazing along with this band.

I have the hard copy of this album & I love it I have been a fan of them since the beginning. And I love the songs on this album but if I had to pick my favorites would have be In Memory, Burning Bright, Crying Out, Stranger Inside & 45.
