The Summoning - Single

These guys never sense to amaze me with their music! They have so many good songs and this might just be their best!! If your new to the band I recommend starting off with Sundowning. Every song won’t hit for you at first but give it a week or two and you will love the whole album.

This band is the next big thing.

Sooooo excited that Sleep Token came out with a heavy song. The heaviness was severely lacking from their last release, TPWBYT, and was honestly the one and only complaint of an otherwise stellar, amazing album. It drives me crazy when people say “Sleep Token isn’t heavy, so don’t complain it was missing” and yes, for the most part that is correct. But Sleep Token CAN be and HAS been heavy. Look at their song Gods for instance. That song is awesome. The ending of The Offering. Parts in Jaws and Nazareth. They can be heavy, and I love it when they are in at least one song each release, so if The Summoning is on a new album, then that’s all the heaviness I need. With that said, this whole song isn’t heavy, but I love the contrast. That sharp left turn near the end, after the heaviness, to just switch it up and go kind of jazzy, it is great.

It’s like someone ordered the Cure on wish.com, and then requested a refund because of the lousy quality

Not only did this song bring me calm, tranquil moments… but it also brought me sensual feelings, as well as a new love for this band.
