  • a modern day masterpiece

an amazing period of creating for mr o'hearn. this accompaniment to the 'so flows the current' can easily be reqarded as its own entity. it is truly spectacular & the moody, atmospheric 'milan to allesio top down' is a show stopper. if you havent heard mr o'hearn, this is a brilliant way to begin. if u ask me go all the way back and begin with 'between two worlds'. you can never go wrong with this artist. if collect music you know its rare to find an artist this consistant with his releases. there isnt a bad one in the bunch. period.

It's amazing that this was called "The So Flows Sessions" because it is the perfect companion to "So Flows the Current". I would give this 10 stars but the ratings don't go that high.
  • A must-buy

I agree with my peers - this album should NOT be considered simply as out-takes - this is possibly even better than the album that was published. Take Milan to Alessio for instance - Patrick's genius takes us to new heights, connecting his (strange?) obsession with minimalism (like Slow Time) and connecting it to his earlier albums. This truly is a must-buy for any Oldfield fan. You will not be disappointed, whether you are an old or new fan.

This album and So Flows itself are without a doubt among the most important listening of the decade. Patrick is able to capture a wonderfully passionate spiritualism that is infused with pulse pounding, adrenaline charged drive. His music can lift you to the heights of pensive contemplation one moment and take you flying down the road, wind whipping in your hair the next.

When I was a wee lad of seventeen I picked up Ancient Dreams and was hooked every since. O'Hearn continues to be one of the finest, most exciting New Age artist in the world. The So Flows Seasons is testament to his mastery of the art form and his conviction to experiment. Bravo, Patrick!

Patrick O'Hearn has been a favorite of mine for years. This album proves, yet again, why I love his music so much. Milan to Alessio Top Down is a perfect song to listen to while starting off a peaceful day. In fact, this whole CD is a great listen for a variety of activities where you just want some background music, but not so much that will distract you.

I have almost every CD Patrick O'Hearn has ever recorded. This one is as awesome as any of his others -- music very light and upbeat, great driving down the coast of Italy listening to this CD.
