The new mixes really give this classic album a new look. A great revive of a great album! Definitely a good listen for casual and hardcore listeners. I could not recommend this more!

The reason to buy this new release is because Giles Martin and Sam Okell have utilized Peter Jackson’s de-mix technology to completely remix Revolver from the original four track tapes at Abbey Road Studios. Jackson’s technology has allowed Martin Okell to separate each instrument in the mix and create a completely new stereo remix of the album, I’ve only heard one song Taxman but if the rest of the album is anything like Taxman, this will be the best new Beatles release ever, I can’t wait to hear this.

This album sounds excellent with the drums, bass, and vocals FINALLY balanced well between the right and left speakers instead of one or the other. My only gripes with this new mix are "Yellow Submarine" and "For No One". Why, oh WHY are Yellow Submarine's drums almost completely panned to the left speaker??? It sounds terrible. And I'm glad the drums on "For No One" have been balanced, but the rest of the sounds are too jumbled together. It eliminates the space that used to exist in the song. But out of all the newly remixed albums, this one is probably the best! They just should have made sure the main drum beats, main bass lines, and main vocals were well-balanced between right and left speakers in every song. It's not hard to do.
