I’m giving it my first listen now and the only stand out so far is Eddie. I popped it on leaving work and even with the crazy traffic it gave me a chill ride. But I got to be honest, I wanted the same excitement of Mothers Milk, the raw genius of Blood Sugar Sex Magic, and the melodic power of Californication, and One Hot Minute. I wanted the first 3 albums spread across a couple songs with Dr Funkenstien added. Maybe, I wanted a mix of Rage Against the Machine, Hendrix, and Bad Brains. Oh well, I guess this’ll do.

These guys have put out 34 songs in the span of a year. Stop. We get it, you guys didn’t have a studio album in 6 years. 34 songs in a year is a little too much. Plus, they all sound the same. Only three songs out of the 34 are really worth listening to, those being “Eddie”, “Black Summer” and “Carry Me Home”. Everything else is just garbage.

This album has some of the tastiest grooves and funkiest licks in their whole catalogue. If you’re not willing to give it a chance, that’s on you. But before you call it a day and stop listening, give Bella a try and tell me it’s not straight fire.

The price is right, the music... not so much. If these were written and recorded during, "Unlimited Love" then they were obviously not meant to make the album. There are a couple of good, er descent songs on the album. They've had so many hits they are allowed a miss now and again, this was one of them. I LOVE RHCP but I'll catch you on the next one.

Anyone who give this album more than 1 star Does not understand who the chili peppers used to be. These songs are poorly written and are meaningless. I dont think even the CHILIPEPPERS remember who they used to be anymore.
  • Great Album but iTunes is Not Lossless!

This album is great, but look out. Apple Music streams in lossless, but iTunes sells the lossy version. So lame, Apple!

F$&@ the Haters!!! I fell in love with this album FIRST LISTEN and even though I love “Unlimited Love”…. …this album is a DREAM COME TRUE!!! The realness in lyrics emphasized so tactfully with composition is such a refresh compared to the GARBAGE we’ve put up with for the past 10+ years!!! Props! The whole album is GENIUS the more you listen to it! So attentive to detail and true to soul. You guys are a modern inspiration and a savior to keep ROCK ALIVE!!! Be proud of this work of art. Cheers to this Canteen!
