He worked with a few different people on this album and I can appreciate their influence on this slightly different sonic. It’s still Dermot to the core: beautiful melodies with gut-wrenching lyrics and some groovy beats. Cannot wait to see what he and the band do with these live arrangements on tour next year. Overall, I’m really happy with his sophomore album and so excited to see him getting the recognition he deserves as a great singer/songwriter.

This album feels like an entire new artist. And maybe that’s what Dermot was going for. His last album was so robust, raw and emotional. This album feels like a overly produced pop album at times. The lyrics are still Dermot but everything else feels different. There also just aren’t that many songs. The music is still good, just not what we’re used to.

A clown show rollout for this album. Then over-produced. I’m so tired of multiple versions of a song bc he knows the first one is trash. I hope he is happy with the money he is chasing bc this album isn’t about the art. The coolest thing about it is the album name, and also Innocence and Sadness.
