    At 72, it's good to know that rock ain't dead! Maybe just . . . undead. :)

This album is so horrible! It's very boring! The mix is to bass heavy as well! Not up to Ghost standards! Here's to hope the next record will be back to being amazing like the rest of the albums!

Honestly my mind was blown when my fiancΓ© took me to go see Ghost. They put on a great show and the songs are so well crafted. Only issue is I wish they came to El Paso more. Having to drive 8 hours to go see them is worth it. But we miss them here.
  • Could be the next Wall

I want to write a screen/musical set to this album about my time in war in the early 2000s...the rise and fall of empires theme fits perfectly with those experiences and most of us were listening to music the whole time so its fitting for that experience to get a soundtrack. Even though its new and only just here now, hearing this album just made me feel like I was back there in that paradoxical human state. War is insanely sad but also unmatched in caring and sacrifice...In the blink of an eye you will witness tremendous horror and equal amounts of undying love for your fellow man. As in war, the paradox of the human spirit is captured in this Album. Impera is up there with Pink Floyd's The Wall or other epic story albums. It not only invokes deep levels of thought but also just plain rocks. Fav track so far has got to be Griftwood - that song is like Van Halen, Queen, Boston, Motley Crew, Elton John, The Beatles and Ghost all raised a kid together and named it "Griftwood". I have been listening to that track on repeat for hours now breaking down every bar and transition; and discover something new each time I listen. You all have outdone yourselves. Cheers.

its kind of telling....it appears most people....even though big fans...really arent digging all that many songs on their more recent albums. the song download meters paint the notion that there are very few really good songs on the album

Was caught off guard the first listen, but I love every song on this album. Ghost have upped the game with each new record and IMPERA does not disappoint. My only complaint is that it is not long enough. Am hopeful for the release of a deluxe edition with bonus tracks.
