Love it even with the flaws.....

It's okay with me that Brian and Boys keep released the same songs in different versions. I would rather listen and appreciate this than all of the rap crap that tries to pass for music. Rap is just one song over and over again by a different person, not singers and not artists. Long live BW and BB.....

Brian Deserves Better

Although Brian and his performance are fabulous, there are series clipping/compression issues with this recording. I'm suprised this album was released in the state it was, I hope the recording company will recognize this issue and re-release a proper recording. I was looking forward to this album, but I'll have to pass.
God only knows

How many versions of Beethoven’s 5th are sold every year or played at concerts?
while he is still with us, what ever BW records is a GIFT.
Enjoy

…and this album is a gem. Pop harmony and counterpoint doesn’t get any better than this.
An Intimate Performance

If you sit down in the evening with a glass of wine, play this album on a good sound system, you can close your eyes and imagine the man himself is sharing a personal performance with you. Quite the treat. Thanks Brian!

What a wonderful gift for fans of Brian Wilson's music, which I've been since 1963. Here is the composer himself playing selected songs from his prodigious catalog of masterworks. The playing is simple and the production minimalist, to say the least. But this is more than made up for by the beauty of Brian's melodies. "In My Room" and "'Til I Die" are particular favorites of mine. I see where one reviewer put down this collection by writing that Brian sounds like a kid playing the piano. That's exactly right! If you don't understand the childlike element that makes him the genius that he is, then you'll never truly understand and apprciate Brian and his music.
