I agree with choo train. The Newsboys have been going on for a considerably long time, particularly for more than three and a half decades. They have certainly left their mark in the Christian music industry. So yeah, thirty five years is a very long time for a band and this single just shows that they are going nowhere. They have kind of lost it when Furler left back in 2009. The first two albums with Tait were passable (namely Born Again and God’s Not Dead), but their next album, Restart, proved they were essentially dumbed down to your average boring Christian pop band. This single unfortunately falls in the same vein as Restart as it is basically just an unoriginal Christian pop song with a boring backdrop along with lyrics that easily could have been written by an eight year old Christian kid and sounds just like every other song that can be found on Christian radio. Heck with it, even Peter Furler couldn’t save the band when he returned for the Newsboys United tour. All in all the Newsboys have been going on for a very long time and could easily retire at this point.

Sorry but newsboys there comes a time when old things must be over and unfortunately I’d say it’s wayyyyy past time for y’all. It’s time for you guys to split and take a different part in today’s Christian music.
