Amazing album from start to finish, great beat and energy throughout. The riffs are so addicting.

Eisbrecher has been providing us top quality metal so consistently since 2006 that it astounds me. Each new release I say it’s the best. The brilliant cover album and then this album. Unbelievable. This album blows me away. I’ve listened to the entire album four times in two weeks. Download. Play on your car’s Bluetooth and watch your speed. You’ll want to drive fast.

This is the first Eisbrecher album in a decade where they pack the energy and angst together in a wide-ranging collection of songs that keep the listener interested and engaged pretty much from start to finish. Why some people want the slow songs to be fast and the fast ones to be slow is beyond my powers of comprehension, but most listeners will probably recognize the slow-burn of anger bubbling underneath the surface of FAKK in a compelling way. It is, indeed, a return to form for them and not a departure in any major way. Longtime fans (without an axe to grind perhaps) will really enjoy this.
  • hard pass! i guess that's it then...bye Eisbrecher. Thanks for the memories.

I have been a fan of German metal since the mid-1990s. This is going to be the first CD that I don't buy from Eisbrecher. Considering they have produced some amazing work in years past this album feels like from a completely different band. There are one or two songs that are OK, and what I mean by OK is that it's reminiscent of the great stuff they've produced in years past. FAKK is just a bunch of screaming, so typical 2020 garbage. Leiserdrehen and Dagegen started off cool, but switched gears in the wrong direction. That seems to be a problem across all of the songs. The tempo and the pacing are all over the place. It is slow when it should be hard and fast, it is hard and fast when it's time for a lull. Simply put, this is not your classic Eisbrecher. This is something so totally different that it's a travesty and extreme disappointment. But I guess, all good things must come to an end…

Following up Sturmfahrt was going to be a big task, and Schicksameoldien just wasn't even close to being a worthy follow up in my opinion. Liebe Macht Monster is that worthy follow up. The songs pack the punch that was missing on Schicks. This is another great release by these guys & hopefully, we'll see them tour here in the US once COVID is under control.
