Tom MacDonald never disappoints. This song is reminiscent of “I Wish”, “Castles”, and “Famous”, among some of his other deep, meaningful, and emotionally gripping songs. Coming from someone who’s lost many human and furry family members and friends to cancer, I appreciate the rawness in the lyrics and video in this song. Judging by the fact that Tom MacDonald even wrote a song called Cancer, and how accurately cancer is portrayed in this song, it sounds like he knows the pain and heartache that’s associated with it. For that, I’m truly and deeply sorry. On the other hand, because he knows that pain, he’s able to share this touching and uplifting song with millions of people. This song touched me deeply. I hope other people can gain some insight, empathy, and knowledge, all while enjoying another new Tom MacDonald song.
