    Grateful Dead's Classic Workingman's Dead (50th Anniversary Deluxe Edition) still holds up as fresh and crisp as it did when it was released 50 years ago. The 2020 remaster brings the mint tight sound quality right into the 21st Century. Great to hear Pigpen sing Easy Wind in the studio like it was recorded yesterday. Bonus is with the 50th year edition you get a great sounding live show, 2 sets from the period: February 21, 1971 at the historic Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York. Well worth the price even if you have the original old album.

    The remaster of the classic album is pristine and bright, and the concert recording, one of six legendary nights in February 1971 from the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY is indispensable. Jeffrey Norman has done amazing work with the old tapes. One for the ages. Check it out.
