Cannibal

I had high hopes, but find this release to be semi generic and calculated.... Its listenable in dying sub-genre, but anything memorable.

These guys have been one of the better metalcore bands around for a long time. With Cannibal, they’ve separated themselves from the back. Much like bands such as Trivium, Unearth, and Darkest Hour, Bury Tomorrow have found a way to push themselves forward without abandoning the identity they’ve created for themselves. Also, the bands I’ve mentioned would make for an amazing tour package. Stand out tracks on here are definitely The Agonist, Imposter, and Cold Sleep. Loving the extra aggressive, almost thrashy moments of these tracks. Don’t be surprised to see Cannibal on a lot of 2020 top 10s.

BT has been one of the harder-hitting melodic Metalcore bands around for the past 10–15 years and, with nearly perfect growls to drive the music and clean vocals to carry the melodic breakdowns, among the best. The bigoted delusions of Metal-ignorant meat heads who dismiss them for their Christian or spiritual themes will always render their invalid criticisms. But those who know metal get it: they’re among the best, most consistent bands out there. For album number 6, they’ve returned to a faster guitar attack with more seamless melodic refrains that compliment rather than stop the drive of the music. The growls are heavier, melodies more inviting, guitar attack tighter and faster. Overall, this is their best since their first album. Glad to see that they keep evolving and making a bigger name for themselves even in the absence of a lot of attention from the music/Metal media.

Only good for one thing...music.
