Not your typical Christmas album!! Instrumentation is brutal upfront Salsa from beginning to end. Even the Bogaloo song, is worth downloading and paying for it. Those who grew up listening to the old Salsa can tell, what a quality Caribbean holidays recording sounds like, and this Memorias De Navidad, is not far from what we deemed as a classic in the past. All these songs a new, songs, there are no re-recorded songs (that I could remember). The lyrics pull you into the song, as Victor Manuelle’s undeniable Sonero ability, tells a tale in a real folkloric way. This album makes you travel back to el batey.
