  • 5/5 perfect

Anyone who rates this album less than a 5 is an idiot on mad drugs. Armin is the GOAT and he proved it with this genius album. 28 songs of pure goodness and I can’t find a single song that I don’t like. Amazing progressions and tempos as well as phenomenal collabs with singers. A lot of work went into this album and seeing him live for the balance tour was even better.
  • Not as good as expected

I expected for 50/50 trance/house. But there was less trance than I hoped for. It doesn't have quite as much of an unfinished garage sound of embrace. But it has less energy than Embrace. The beats of Embrace had more energy. The album doesn't even have a title song like "Intense" on Intense, "Imagine" on Imagine, "Mirage" on Mirage, or "Embrace" on Embrace. Not only is there not much trance on this album, but every song is radio edit length. If at least several of the songs were longer than five minutes, I might give this album a three or four star. Trance music (and EDM in general, but especially trance) is supposed to be five to eight minutes long. Pop and rock are supposed to be two to four minutes long, not trance. Don't Let Me Go is interesting, because it's hardstyle. Miles Away is great except that it's a radio edit. It's the song on this album that's most like trance. It's still pop though. It's interesting some of these songs feature pop artists like Ne-Yo and Bonnie McKee. But these are low quality. Look up the remixes for the song Lonely for You. Armin Van Buuren has gone on the commercial pop trend for quite long enough. It was nice that he did things differently, but he should go back afterwards. Also, he didn't do things differently in a very creative way. When he does things differently, he should be more creative. There should be extended mixes of at least some of the songs on this album. The extended mixes should be at least five minutes long. I would really like 146bpm Euro hard trance. Just get Armin Van Buuren's side project Rising Star instead. It stays true to trance. Also listen to Armin Van Buuren's older work before 2014. Also get Paul Van Dyk, Talla 2XLC, and Sean Tyas. They stay true to trance.

Seems to be more singing in trance now with artists. Although a good thing and this is just a studio album just make sure to also keep doing the mix albums.
  • I was expecting more Trance

I’ve been a fan of Armin for a very long time and while I don’t hate it, it wasn’t what I expected. This album feels more dance pop than anything. Some tracks have a chainsmokers sound/feel, which I wasn’t expecting from Armin. Again, I didn’t hate it, it’s just not what I was expecting. I miss the Trance.
