  • To much screamo

    By Chinesemuchacho
They are continuing to go to the screamo more often and it ruins the brilliance of the music. Much like Taproot, and Red. They need to stop the screaming.
  • When I listen to this do my neighbors!

    By MD_Stubblefield
I've been a "Coiler" for many years, and I like the older stuff just as much as their newer sound. Yes, Andrea's growl is much more prominent now, but I actually like the balance it provides to Christina's clean vocals. For me, I really can't decide if I like Black Anima or Delirium more....they're both great!
  • Not enough Christina!!!!

    By Bloodspill77
This a a pretty big step down from Delirium.....Delirium was excellent, the harsher vocals are overdone a bit tto much and does not quite go with some of the beats in my opinion. Ok, not bad though! I wish Scabbia took over more vocals for sure!
  • Great album, bad mixing

    By Viperthe2
The album is powerful, both lyrically and instrumentally. They keep getting better with time and heavier and darker, I love this album! Well worth the buy and listen, long time Lacuna Coil fan here. ... But, the mix is horrible. It’s way toooooo compressed, the drums have no punch. There’s zero punch in this album. Low rumbling lows from the bass are there, but no mid range punch from any bass drum, snare, or toms to give that impact. It’s just an odd mix that doesn’t hit in your chest when played loud. It doesn’t sound/feel right. Too muddy. If they remix the audio to be clear and not muddy I’ll add the last star.
  • Sounds Great To Me!

    By JuzAnotherMetalFan
That’s all I’ve gotta say really. I had shared another review for this album previously, but I guess it was removed or some nonsense. Not so surprising.
  • Great heavy sound!!

For those giving this one star, go listen to Taylor Swift. This is awesome stuff and it's great to see them go in this direction.
  • Nothing Stands In Their Way

    By IceQueen145
I’ve been following Lacuna Coil for 15 years, and this is probably one of their best albums to date. It keeps up with the current metal direction of their music, while adding in something new. Cristina Scabbia’s vocals are on an entirely new level. She is experimenting in amazing ways and the album is worth the listen on that note alone. Andrea Ferro continues to use his harsher vocals, which are improving with every effort. They contrast Cristina’s vocals beautifully. The music is harsh and heavy, while retaining that unique sound that is “Lacuna Coil.” As an old school Coiler, I was not always a fan of “Shallow Life” or “Dark Adrenaline” up against the masterpieces that are “Comalies” and “Unleashed Memories,” but, their last album “Delirium” and this latest effort show a huge resurgence in creativity and I hope they keep down that path.
  • Magnifico!

Black Anima is magnificent! Lacuna Coil is magnificent!
  • Master piece

I love this new album. Creatively driven. So emotionally deep.
  • In love

    By Kry's99
I missed so much this kind of album from lacuna, i would love to hear a little more harmony with the background sounds and the voice, but nothing that kills me. Just in total love from this songs. Feels more personal and balanced from the previous album.
