  • SIMPLY AMAZING!!

I am a huge Dylan fan. He is one of the finest poets and entertainers of this generation. "Blood on the Track"s was an incredible "album" in its time- a time of Bob Dylans comeback (as if he ever really left). someone said they had "Hard Rain" so this set was unnecessary since that album was better. That couldn't be further from the trut. To hear the early practice sessions that started bringing the music together was very cool. But better than that are all the different shows- a bit of a different feel in each one, and some songs were played at only one venue, some only at a few. 1975, in my opinion, was one of the strongest Dylan eras- he was writing incredible songs at a furious pace, and his creative juices were flowing like they were back in 1966 and his Blonde on Blonde time. This set is SIMPLY AMAZING-- and if you are a Dylan fan, you will enjoy every one of the 14 CD's.

Been waiting a long time for this. Bob was never better --just toss your backlog and go with about 35 of these wondrous songs. ... Although I declined buying the whole thing, I've had no difficulty finding well more than two dozen songs I cannot do without, even though there are other excellent versions. Tangled, Twist of Fate, She Belongs to Me, Isis, Tears of Rage, Never Let Me Go, Patty's Gone and more are masterpieces as presented. Is that positive enough? Can I give it 6 stars? ... By the way, the film on NetFlix is also worth 5 stars.

This period was wild, they’d ride into town put the word out then by the weekend the show would go off Sometimes as many as six guitars on stage The hard rain video shows bob playing a slide guitar Which was professionally recorded abc or cbs The song isis was played during this period and only through this period Many dylan fans believe his voice was at his strongest I recommend this to anyone who would like to hear live recordings from 1974 & 1975 tour Enjoy! Thanks Jennifersman It was NBC I have that show on cdr . I really like Deportee w/ Joan Baez I was only 14 at the time of that show on NBC and didn’t see it My first Dylan record was desire the following year After that I I was a BOBCAT for life Now I have every official Dylan record And a couple hundred Dylan shows I’m now 60 Thanks again Jennifersman for the correct network that aired Hard Rain on tv

What a gift to the world Hibbing MN. gave us in Bob Dylan. As he grows old it's important his poetry, message, legacy and brillance is shared and never lost. Not an exaggeration to say he may be the greatest and most important singer/songwriter of all time.
  • It’s as bad as I remembered.

Saw him on this tour in Burlington Vermont. Thought it was bad then and listening to the samples reinforces my opinion. Have seen him many times since and have loved his concerts. But this one, not so much.

The Hard Rain TV performance was recorded and broadcast by NBC, there was actually a second performance (filmed indoors) that was supposed to be shown on the Midnight Special but for whatever reason, Dylan didn’t want it broadcast. So the outdoor show was a backup

This could be condensed into a 3 CD set but who carese. If you have the Rolling Thunder Basement release this is icing on the cake.
