The Unintentional Tribute
Cave In is a truly unique band. Always has been. Their individual musical personalities are pouring out and blending at all times in their music. They have shifted their shape on every release, and made it interesting to listen to every time.
This is a return to Jupiter-era form at times, while still finely displaying how much these guys have progressed in Cave In and all their individual and collective projects over the years. This album touches my heart. Caleb Scofield will be forever missed. I have so much love for the way all the bands in their circle pulled together like a family to keep his legacy alive. I'm so glad to have Cave In back. I look forward to the future.

Love this band so much. Sad to hear of Caleb’s death. One of the finer musicians of our time.
As above, So below
If “All Illusion” is any indication of the direction they took on this album, it’s going to be in heavy rotation when it comes out. I’ve had a sort of esoteric romance with Cave In the moment I heard Jupiter and Antenna. Then Perfect Pitch Black came out and hit me hard at the right moment which lead to a year long playlist of everything from said three albums. I’m sure Caleb is firmly tethered to the c(h)ord that keeps the doorway open between planes. Going to definitely be bittersweet hearing his last contributions to life and his music. But just as everything in life ebbs and flows, we sway with change and love.
