Reviews

  • The REAL โ€œ Let It Beโ€ Album

Decades after Phil Spector ruined the 1970 release, Paul, Ringo and George Martin decided to make this album sound like it was originally intended - the band playing live in studio without any overdubs or orchestration. THIS is the version you should own and treasure. It is fresh and intimate.

I haven't even purchased it yet but just previewed each song. Giving it 5 stars just by doing that. First and most importantly it's "Let It Be" before Phil Spector got his filthy hands on it. I was a huge Beatles fan as a kid and still am to this day. But the "Let It Be" album always left me a little flat. I actually hated "The Long and Winding Road" but now I know why. Because of the lame and sappy strings that were added by Spector. Once hearing the song without that crap it becomes the toned down beautiful piece of music that it is. McCartney has written his share of "sap" over the course of his career, but even he was sickened by what Spector did. I'll be getting this for sure.

It is very beautiful and better than the original in my opinion. This is way it is truly meant to be! Stripped down and more acoustic and about the instruments. Itโ€™s the way The Beatles wanted it. It should have always been released like that.
  • Let it be naked is amazing!

Reminiscent of the 'unpluggd' albums of a couple decades ago, with excess weight now stripped away. For baby boomers growing up with the Beatles, the original release fell quite a bit short of what the Beatles had taught us to expect. 'Let It Be - Naked' brings back that spark of what the Beatles meant to us and the world. So pleasantly surprised. Well done!

Paul knew and was so bothered by the crappy mix and wack-o Phil Spector did to the original! Was sad for many years! Paul the upgrade was stunning ! For what you had to work with ๐Ÿ‘
