I think that after “Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy” the quality of Elton’s albums diminished. The 80’s saw a bunch of albums with lots of filler material. Even though there were quite a few good songs that were spread out across his 80’s albums, none of the albums as a whole compared to his 70’s albums. “Sleeping With The Past” is his best album of the 80’s. I don’t think there are too many fillers on this one. I like almost every song with the exception of one or two.
