The incomparable Judy Garland was captured on this album at the peak of her concert career on a memorable evening at Carnegie Hall. She does all of her finest songs on this album and is in superb voice. If you only know her from the “Wizard of Oz”, do yourself a favor and get this sampler. There is a reason she was called Miss Show Business, and this album demonstrates it perfectly. She could hold an audience in the palm of her hand, and she does so effortlessly in this outing. She gives a master class in popular singing as well. Judy Garland is truly immortal and this album is her finest hour.
