All of the songs downloaded except, Born to Run, Thunder Road, and Badlands. It says they’re not available in my region. WTH is that? I wouldn’t have purchased this had I known this.
  • Excellent, albeit flawed, Springsteen primer

Somehow Bruce Springsteen‘s Greatest Hits ends up being not as good as the sum of its parts. That said, it’s an amazing collection of music and great intro to Springsteen‘s cast oeuvre of songs. Not only are some of his greatest songs from both the 70s and 80s included (Thunder Road, The River, Badlands, Brilliant Disguise) so are most of his biggest ‘80s pop hits (Dancing in the Dark, Hungry Heart) as are the more recent (and harder to find) Streets of Philadelphia & Secret Garden. With his anthemic Born to Run and Born in the USA, the album puts on one disk a remarkable collection of songs. One can quibble about the many songs left out in favor of the less than “greatest” Blood Brothers, Murder Inc. But that’s all made up for on later Bruce collections.
