I can't stop listening to this album. It's just gorgeous, the vocals, the duets are exceptional, the arrangements have that nostaglic quality of the 40's and 50's. I especially love the ending to Let it Snow, the piano at the end is sad but beautiful. Ingrid captures the dual nature of the season perfectly. She set out to make a classic Christmas album and did. It's that good. Just listen.. Thank you Ingrid!

This album is the essence of Christmas! (Except that there are no religious songs) but from a secular standpoint, it doesn’t get any better than this! Just add a fire and hot chocolate and you’ll have Christmas bliss! Why is this hidden low on the list, while a bunch of crappy music heads the list, iTunes? The duet with Leslie Odom jr is sublime!

Listening to this album is like being inside a beautiful snow globe, and never wanting to leave! I thought I was pretty much done listening to the classics, no matter WHO sings them, but this changed my mind. The music, the singing, the arrangement...pure holiday magic. If I had to pic a favorite, her collaboration with Leslie Odom in 'All I Want for Christmas' brings a smile to my face every time I hear it start, with its slow romanticism. Buy it, because you'll pull it out every year like a favorite sweater.

It doesn't get any better than Michaelson's SONGS FOR THE SEASON. Hypnotic vocals and production. Loved this one out of the box and know it'll be a favorite for years to come. Especially love "Looks Like A Cold, Cold Winter," and "Happy, Happy Christmas."
